A Building Automation System (BAS) is a computer system that enables you to control and monitor a building’s various electrical and mechanical equipment, such as ventilation, HVAC, lighting, blinds, intercom, power, plumbing, and machinery (lefts, escalators).
The data collected can include:
- alarms (failure, abnormal stop, measurement exceeding a threshold, etc.)
- status (equipment operation, position, order feedback, etc.)
- measurements (temperature, operating time, number of failures, etc.)
The different components of BAS are numerous, but above all it enables the optimum management of the different facilities, a reduction of maintenance costs and a faster detection of failures.
By controlling all the technical and electronic equipment, the Building Automation System (BAS) enables up to 30% energy savings, while optimising the comfort of the occupants.
